SUNY Oswego Rankings

The Princeton Review has named SUNY Oswego as one of 2014 Best in the Northeast" colleges and universities in the nation.  We chose these as 'regional best' colleges mainly for their excellent academic programs," said Robert Franek, Princeton Review's senior vice president and publisher. "Our 'regional best' colleges constitute only 25 percent of the nation's four-year colleges-a select group, indeed"

The Princeton Review quotes SUNY Oswego students saying that they "have a lot of opportunities to work with professors on research and other projects outside of the classroom to help build real-world experience" and that Oswego's "amazing professors" "really care about what you do and want to help you in every way to make sure you do well."

U.S. News Media Group again ranks SUNY Oswego among the top 20 public universities in the North in rankings for 2014 released Sept. 11, 2013

SCHOOL OF BUSINESS RANKING

SUNY Oswego's School of Business made the Princeton Review's list of the nation's outstanding MBA-granting schools for the ninth consecutive year, with the publication citing a high level of student satisfaction, strong menu of academic offerings and flexible course delivery options.

Students surveyed noted "the professors are excellent and the classes are fun and challenging," the school "provides a lot of hands-on work and team activities to form a strong work ethic" and their student peers are "very intelligent" and "reliable and helpful."

The surveys found other strengths that included small and interactive classes, many hands-on learning opportunities, state-of-the-art facilities, vibrant campus life, solid preparation in accounting and management, and scenic Lake Ontario setting. Faculty rated high for interest in helping students, knowledge and accessibility.

SUNY Oswego's School of Business, accredited by AACSB International-the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, offers bachelor's degree programs in accounting, business administration, finance, human resource management, marketing, operations management and information systems, and risk management and insurance as well as MBA degrees.
