SUNY Oswego faculty members Diane Brand of the public justice department and Christopher LaLonde of the English and creative writing department will receive the 2016 President’s Award for Excellence in Academic Advisement. The honorees will be recognized at the college’s annual Teaching and Learning Awards Ceremony in the fall.

The SUNY Oswego President’s Award for Teaching Excellence will recognize Carolina Ilie of the physics department and Joanne O’Toole of the curriculum and instruction department. The Provost’s Award for Teaching Excellence for Part-Time Faculty will honor Stephanie Pritchard of the English and creative writing department.

“With Passion & Purpose: The Campaign for SUNY Oswego” has achieved a historic milestone in its five-year journey by surpassing the $40 million announced goal. This is the largest announced campaign among all SUNY comprehensive colleges—Oswego’s peer schools—and nearly double the college’s last campaign goal of $23 million.

Chancellor's Award honors three professionals at SUNY Oswego

Longtime SUNY Oswego professional staff members in technology services, alumni relations and financial aid have been recognized by the statewide university system with this year’s SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Professional Service. They are Katharine Dutton, learning support specialist; Elizabeth Oberst, associate vice president of alumni relations and stewardship; and Kathleen Pagano, associate director of financial aid.
