Patent commissioner, media industry leader chosen for SUNY honor

The State University of New York trustees have approved awarding honorary doctoral degrees to two outstanding members of SUNY Oswego’s class of 1977: a media industry leader and the U.S. commissioner of patents.

Media summit founder to receive SUNY Oswego's Presidential Medal

Media industry leader, cable television pioneer and SUNY Oswego alumnus Louis A. Borrelli Jr. will receive the college’s Presidential Medal on Thursday, Oct. 16, the day of the media summit he founded a decade ago.

Living her passion every day fuels Tracy Chamberlain Higginbotham, a 1986 SUNY Oswego graduate who will be the featured speaker at the college’s Honors Convocation. The ceremony will begin at 3 p.m. April 11 in the Campus Center’s arena and convocation hall.

PwC chairman to speak in Oswego about global trends

Bob Moritz, chairman and senior partner of the U.S. accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers and a 1985 graduate of SUNY Oswego, will discuss “Global Trends and Your Role in a Sustainable Future” at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 3, in the auditorium of the college’s Campus Center, Room 132.
