This workshop will serve to answer some of the common questions we have received on the proper methods for preparing and submitting a SCAC student grant.

Some things that will be addressed are:

• What is the role of the faculty involvement as the sponsor?
• What is the role of the student?
• What is fundable?
• How does this differ from the faculty and student challenge grants?
• Suggestions on writing a strong grant.
• Discussion of pitfalls that can negatively affect proposals.
