Music Majors/Minors:
Prospective students wishing to become Music Majors or Minors must audition on their main instrument or voice type. Auditions are generally held in the Spring of the year during Open House Days. A Theory Placement test is usually given during the same visit so that we can determine the appropriate place for the student to enter our Theory sequence. This year, the open house dates are:

You are not restricted to these dates. Some students wait until their summer orientation visit to audition for us or during some other planned visit to the campus. If necessary, the audition can wait until your arrival on campus in August. Please inform us of your impending visit so that someone can be made available to meet you, show you around and listen to your audition.
