Yvonne Petrella Dean
Ms. Petrella has served the Division of Extended Learning since 1994. She came to SUNY Oswego in 1977 as a faculty member in Business Administration to teach Marketing and Advertising. For many years she worked with the Division of Extended Learning, and then Ms. Petrella was assigned to the division on a part-time basis. She holds an MBA in Marketing from Youngstown State (OH) and has completed significant post-graduate work in Marketing and Adult Education at Syracuse University.
Alison Lovallo Director of Academic Advisement
Ms. Lovallo has served the Division of Extended Learning since January 1995. She is currently the advisement coordinator, as well as the publications coordinator and the resident technology expert for the division. She brings photographic and graphic expertise to the division, supervises all desktop publishing projects, and manages the office's technology plan. Ms. Lovallo is a graduate of SUNY Oswego with a Master of Science degree in Counseling.
Thomas Ingram Director of Academic Programs
Thomas Ingram joined the Extended Learning staff in July 1999. He coordinates Summer Sessions and WinterSession for SUNY Oswego and is responsible for the scheduling of Oswego's online and evening-degree courses. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from St. Lawrence University, a Master's Degree in Management from Clarkson University, and significant post-graduate work in Labor Relations and Collective Bargaining from the N.Y.S. School of Industrial & Labor Relations at Cornell.
He also serves as as a faculty member in SUNY Oswego's Public Justice Department and its Marketing & Management Department. Professor Ingram's areas of expertise include Employment Law, Collective Bargaining, Compensation, and Organizational Behavior. In addition, he occasionally conducts training workshops and provides consulting services for a number of firms located in central and northern New York.
James N. Jerose Director of the SUNY Oswego Metro Center
James Jerose's previous experience includes Senior Vice President, Marketing for PHP/Univera Healthcare, Senior Director at RMSCO, and senior staff and volunteer roles at the Syracuse Chamber where he earned the Century and Volunteer of the Year Awards. His expertise is in marketing, management, staff development, business networking, health care, insurance, and risk management. Volunteerism, organizational advocacy, and board development are special interests. He has worked with and established various relationships with many educational institutions throughout his career.
Jim serves on the Board of Trustees of St. Camillus Health and Rehabilitation Center and Integrity Home Care Services, New York Employee Benefit Conference, and is a member of the Board of Regents of Le Moyne College. He was President of the Citizens Foundation and the Syracuse Executives Association. He is also active in the Labor and Employer Relations Association, CNY Association of School Business Officials, Society for Human Resource Management, and the CBA Alumni association. He is also an active volunteer at Francis House where he assists with events, fund raising, and facility services. He is also a member of the Onondaga Historical Society and the CNY Genealogical Society.
Jim is an alumnus of OCC, SUNY Oswego, and the Syracuse University Newhouse School of Public Communications where he earned his Master’s Degree and pursued additional postgraduate studies. Jim Jerose and his spouse Kathleen reside in Liverpool, and have two sons.
Donna Besaw Director of the SUNY Oswego Phoenix Center
Donna Besaw joined the Extended Learning staff in 2003 as our Business Development Specialist. She is responsible for coordinating professional development programs for employers in the education, long term care and manufacturing sectors as well as providing leadership for non-credit courses offered at the Phoenix satellite campus.
Donna holds a Bachelor's in Business Administration from SUNY Oswego and a Master's degree in Adult Education from Ohio State University.
