The SUNY Oswego Metro Center, which is cleverly located in Syracuse's Clinton Square, offers opportunities for life long learners and the greater Syracuse business community. The 12,000 square-foot customized state-of-the-art learning center offers  Master's Degree programs, Certificate Programs, Professional Development Workshops and Customized and Contract Training.

Metro Center Amenities

A café on the main level of the Atrium building offers patrons beverages, sandwiches and snacks. There is a common area on the lower level to enjoy your meal and converse before class or on break. With both Armory Square and Hanover Square within walking distance there are many places to go for dining, entertainment, and community and cultural events near the Metro Center.

The Metro Center will not be offering food or beverages nor will kitchen or refrigeration be available. Food and drinks may be consumed within the Metro Center, subject to faculty consent, with the standard advice for careful enjoyment.

Restrooms at the Atrium are located at the north end of the building. The Atrium is home to a variety of businesses and the restrooms are secured. In your classroom you will find information posted that gives you the security code to use so that you may access the facilities.

Classrooms and Offices

There are three classrooms in the main suite, a seminar room, and other rooms for specific functions. Another suite across the hall contains a large classroom, breakout area, and office. A third suite has a classroom, meeting room, faculty offices, and a breakout area. Coat closets are provided.

There are two carrels in the main suite equipped with desktop computers and a black and white printer for student use. It is advisable to have your printing jobs on a flash/thumb drive for best service. There also is a public copy center across the street.

The Metro Center offers a wireless environment and has AC power receptacles throughout.

We have created common areas, open spaces, and smaller meeting rooms with comfortable furniture for small group discussions. Offices are provided for faculty and are also used by the MBA Director and other staff throughout the week. Classroom tables and chairs are designed to be easily reconfigured for diverse teaching styles.

Books and ID Cards

The College Bookstore will have a presence at the Metro Center as needed. No student supplies will be routinely available.

If you do not have a current SUNY Oswego ID card, we will have Metro Center staff to assist you with taking your photo and having a card made for you. The ID card is important for parking discounts and library services.

Staffing

A staff person is always on site when the Metro Center is open.

Building Security

A security guard is on duty during evening hours. Most courses and programs conclude by 9:15 PM and everyone should plan to exit the building by 9:30 PM.

Atrium entrances will be clearly marked for Metro Center visitors. Occasionally certain entrances will be closed depending on the hour and other activities and events near the Atrium. Please be prepared to show your ID card if the security guard or other building official requests.
