Supervising Employees: Corrective Counseling and the Termination Process

Not many people say that managing employees is easy.

Not only do supervisors have to deal with production schedules, customer service issues, and equipment breakdowns, they also have to handle the corrective counseling process, which sometimes includes disciplining employees.  Having those conversations is difficult enough.  Our goal is to lighten your load and make it easier for you.  We will discuss conversations regarding rules violations, work misconduct, behavioral issues, performance, and attendance issues.

You will also learn that documenting those conversations is critical and needs to be done correctly. We will discuss why it needs to be done, how, and provide useful checklists for ensuring the needed information is captured and recorded in the most effective way to help clarify it for the employee and protect the legal rights of your company. Presenter is Kathy Barany, PHR, of Strategic Management Solutions.
