SUNY Oswego
Metro Center to host graduate
information night Nov. 12
SYRACUSE --
Representatives of SUNY Oswego's Graduate Studies Office will host an
information session at the college's Metro Center in downtown Syracuse from 4
to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12.
The session is
geared toward professionals working in the downtown Syracuse area who are
interested in earning a master's degree while working. With the opening of the
SUNY Oswego Metro Center a little over a year ago in the Atrium at 2 Clinton
Square, Oswego began delivering programming in Syracuse that will allow people
to work downtown and learn downtown.
"A major
objective in opening the SUNY Oswego Metro Center was to offer high-quality and
affordable graduate and professional development programs to working
adults," Graduate Studies Dean David King said. "We know it's a
challenge to balance career, family and educational goals, so we are working to
develop a variety of degree, certificate and training programs that will serve
the educational needs of people who are seeking professional opportunities,
career advancement or retraining."
In addition to
the Metro Center, SUNY Oswego offers graduate courses online, at the lakeside
Oswego campus and at the SUNY Oswego Phoenix Center off Route 481 in Phoenix.
Refreshments
will be served during the Nov. 12 information session. Registration is not
required. Potential students will be able to speak with representatives and
academic advisers about the many opportunities available in degree, non-degree
and certificate programming.
