Bruce ConkleEco-Tankers: Exhibition by Bruce Conkle
Oregon artist and environmentalist Bruce Conkle envisions a future of monstrous sailing “eco-tankers” that are highly adaptable to temperature fluctuations, rising sea levels and changing precipitation patterns. Crops, orchards and forests could be grown on these ships by resident arborists, horticulturists and beekeepers, to name a few. The exhibition includes Conkle’s conceptual drawings and mini-eco-tankers designed by students of all ages!

QuiltsA Personal Landscape: Contemporary Art Quilts
This exhibition features contemporary art quilts inspired by the natural world and highlights the work of western New York fiber artists. Each work speaks with a different voice and reflects the artist’s literal or abstract interpretation of the natural world.

Rocks and Rills: Nature Themes from the Permanent Collection
PollackThirty-three landscapes, still lifes and seascapes from Tyler Art Gallery’s permanent collection will demonstrate how artists of the past have given us joyful and sometimes ominous images of nature. Students in Museum Studies 381 have researched and written extended labels for these works.
