On the model of last season’s Homage to Steve Reich, SUNY Oswego joins with LeMoyne College and Onondaga Community College to welcome another of America’s musical luminaries. A decade ago, Aaron Jay Kernis became the youngest composer to receive the Pulitzer Prize for music. “Kernis’s invention is exuberant,” wrote Andrew Porter in The New Yorker, capturing in four words the lyricism that continues to build an enthusiastic audience worldwide.
