Research and Scholarship

Oswego's faculty and students actively participate in research, creative work and other scholarly activities. The college stresses the importance of making undergraduate research opportunities available, to the point of enabling advanced research for undergraduates that other institutions only offer at the graduate level. We have outstanding facilities that help students gain hands-on experience. Hundreds of students share their findings at Quest, our annual daylong celebration of scholarly and creative activities.

The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs develops, coordinates and administers Oswego's sponsored research and scholarly activity programs. All proposals, grants and contracts are managed through ORSP, which serves as the representative for the SUNY Research Foundation. The office is located in Room 4 of Penfield Library (315.312.2890).

For more information on scholarly activities of our faculty and students, see the Research News page.
