Any student may elect to take the waiver exam for Computer & Information Literacy that is given at least once a semester. No student may take a waiver exam more than once, and all waiver exams must be taken during the student's first year at SUNY Oswego.
Students can have the General Education writing requirement waived if they take and pass the writing waiver exam. Eligibility for this exam is determined by the English Department (which also administers and grades the exam). Any student who wishes to take the exam should contact the English Department to discuss the requisite scores on the Regents Exam and/or SAT Verbal.
