Roughly 8,909 students enroll at SUNY College at Oswego, about 7,971 undergraduates and 938 graduates.

The undergraduate student body is generally traditional. More than 70% of full-time students are between 18 and 21 years old, and 84% are studying full-time toward a degree.

The ratio of male to female undergraduate students is close to 45:55.

New York residents comprise approximately 97% of all enrollees.

In Fall of 2008 students came from almost every county in New York as well as from 26 states and 15 foreign countries.

Transfer students from local community colleges and other higher education institutions comprise about 30.5% of first time full time undergraduate students.
