Arms & Sleepers is an electronic duo from Boston. American Royalty is a psych-pop trio from Brooklyn. Guitarist Gianni Paci is a recent graduate of New York University and is influenced by Buddy Holly and The Beatles. All students, faculty and staff at the State University of New York at Oswego are invited to nominate full-time faculty for the President's Award for Teaching Excellence. This award is intended to recognize annually one full-time faculty member who has demonstrated extraordinary success in fostering student learning at SUNY Oswego. Persons nominated for this award should evidence outstanding teaching performance as measure by their appreciation for the knowledge, skills, attitudes and passionate work ethic associated with excellent teaching as well as by such things as:
• A clearly articulated focus on student learning
• Evidence of effective student learning
• Evidence of effective individual student mentoring
• Student evaluations of their own learning and the faculty member's contribution to it
• Evidence from colleagues of effectiveness in promoting student learning
To be eligible for the award, individuals must be full-time faculty members. The award recipient will be honored at the Oswego Symposium on Learning and Teaching and will receive a symbol of honor and a monetary award of $1,000.

All nominated faculty will be asked to supply a well-articulated teaching philosophy and a representative sample of departmentally approved student evaluations. He or she will also be free to provide whatever supporting material he or she determines would be helpful for the evaluation process. Support letters will be solicited from department chairs or program directors.

If the nominator is not a student, please also include a letter of support from a student that addresses one or more of the above criteria.
