1. The minutes of 4/26/06 were approved, with the revision that “President Millie” should be corrected to “Provost Millie.”

2. We discussed our identity and role, including to what extent a general approach to defining a quality college education might complement or frame a more particularistic approach to making specific quality-oriented recommendations to various bodies. We also discussed the importance of building bridges to governance and supporting the work done on quality teaching and learning by the COLT Committee and other bodies.

3. Jean passed out a draft of some bylaws for our committee, to be discussed at the next meeting, which is scheduled for October 11^th at 10 a.m. in 123 Penfield.
