COLLEGE SETS DISCUSSION ON POSSIBLE WAR IN IRAQ
OSWEGO -- Two SUNY Oswego professors will offer a discussion on "War in Iraq?" at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, in the formal lounge of Hewitt Union on campus.
The Coalition for Peace Education, a SUNY Oswego Student Association organization, will sponsor the presentation, which will be open to the public free of charge.
The panelists will be Dr. Thomas Judd, professor of history, and Dr. Stephen J. Rosow, associate professor of political science and director of Oswego's global and international studies program. Judd will focus on the history of warfare in the region, and Rosow will discuss the politics of the conflict.
"There will be abundant opportunity for discussion," said Dr. Nola Heidlebaugh, professor of communication studies and one of the event's organizers.
