OSWEGO -- Management consultant and author Joni Daniels will present her workshop "Power Tools for Women" at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, in Timepieces in Hewitt Union at SUNY Oswego.
Daniels is a 1977 graduate of SUNY Oswego, and her appearance is sponsored by the Oswego Alumni Association. Admission will be free, and complimentary coffee, cookies and cold beverages will be served.
The night before, Daniels will give her presentation at the Craftsman Inn in Fayetteville in an event that includes dinner and a $15 admission charge. It will begin with a networking reception and buffet at 5:30 p.m. April 9, followed by the workshop at 6:30 p.m.
Daniels is the author of the book "Power Tools for Women: Plugging into the Essential Skills for Work and Life," published by Three Rivers Press. In her workshop of the same title, she aims to teach women how to be more effective and efficient at work and at home. She sprinkles her practical advice with a dose of humor.
"The key is to tap into the metaphor of the tool kit," she says. "Too few women grow up wielding power tools and enjoying the sense of accomplishment and self-sufficiency they impart."
