OSWEGO -- "The Mandorla," a new play written and directed by Oswego State theatre department Chair Mark Cole, will have an encore presentation at The Hardware Store on Main Street in Fair Haven at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6.
The one-person play will feature actress Lori Kee as woman whose simple mistake of picking up the wrong coat causes a domino effect of situations that lead to a mysterious and dangerous adventure.
Kee has worked regionally the past four years in theatre and commercials throughout New York state. Recently she completed a three-month engagement playing Janet in "Wally's Cafe" for the Lake George Dinner Theatre. She has appeared on "Pappyland" and taught acting at SUNY Cortland. She also worked for four years at the Sterling Renaissance Festival.
She previously spent six years working in Los Angeles in theatre, film and television as a regular on "Days of Our Lives." She studied acting with the late Sanford Meisner.
Cole recently adapted and directed "The Picture of Dorian Gray" at Oswego State.
"After our standing room only premiere performance at the Coffee Connection in early November, we are pleased to present this eerie and comic play once again, in another atmospheric location," Cole says.
The performance is jointly produced by The Hardware Store and Vaudeville Planet Entertainment.
Admission will be $5. Coffee and desserts will be available. For more information, call 564-6233.
