'TASTE THE WORLD' FOOD FEST
NETS $5,000 FOR SCHOLARSHIPS
OSWEGO -- The "Taste the World" International Food Fest held earlier this month at Oswego State netted $5,000 to support international scholarships on campus.
The Food Fest raises funds for Oswego State's International Education Scholarships, said Dr. George Koenig of the modern languages department, who chaired the annual event.
"We are grateful to all those who participated in the Food Fest and the many restaurants which helped to make the event such a success," said Susan Ansara, director of international education at Oswego.
"The real winners are our students, who will be able to 'taste the world' by studying abroad, thanks to the generosity of Food Fest participants and donors."
Oswego restaurants participating were Mojo's, Cam's New York Pizzeria, Food Chow City, Port City Cafe and Bakery, Aunt Mary's Cookies and Catering, and Auxiliary Services at Oswego State.
Syracuse area restaurants taking part in this year's Food Fest included Tokyo Seoul, Milky Bar Polish Cuisine, King David's and India House.
