'TASTE THE WORLD' FEST
SLATED AT OSWEGO STATE
OSWEGO -- The sixth annual "Taste the World" International Food Fest will be held at Oswego State on Saturday, Oct. 7.
The event, which raises funds for Oswego State's International Education Scholarships, will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. at Fallbrook Recreation Center, located on Thompson Road just west of the campus main entrance. Ten area restaurants will serve foods representing cuisines around the world.
Oswego restaurants participating will be Mojo's, serving Cajun gumbo soup; Vona's, tomato, basil and mozzarella salad; Food Chow City, egg rolls; Port City Cafe and Bakery, apple strudel; and Aunt Mary's Cookies and Catering, cookies. Auxiliary Services at Oswego State will serve a vegetarian dish of rice, plantains and beans.
Syracuse areas restaurants taking part in this year's Food Fest will include Tokyo Seoul, serving kim bap and futomaki; Milky Bar Polish Cuisine, serving pierogi; King David's, hummus and pita; and India House, vegetable biryani.
Tickets are now available for a $15 donation. They will be limited and will not be sold at the door. For tickets, call 341-2118 or visit the International Education Office in Room 122A of Swetman Hall on campus.
After Sept. 22, call to confirm availability of tickets. Checks should be made payable to Oswego College Foundation.
