OSWEGO -- The flavors of the world will be on the menu when the eighth annual International Food Fest fund-raiser spices up the Fallbrook Recreation Center on the SUNY Oswego campus from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29.
Tickets are $15 for the event, which benefits the SUNY Oswego International Education Scholarship. Previous editions of the festival have raised more than $23,000 to support participation in international programs for 35 SUNY Oswego students, organizers said.
"We have found that this is a very fun fund-raiser for everyone who participates," said Dr. George Koenig, a professor in the modern literature and languages department who chairs the event's organizing committee. "We are presenting international cuisine for an event that ultimately benefits the overall international flavor of the campus."
An international array of fare will be available from Oswego-area vendors including Auxiliary Services, Coleman's, Food Chow City, Mojo's, the Port City Cafe and Vona's, as well as Syracuse eateries India House, King David's, Milky Bar Polish Cuisine and Tokyo Seoul.
For tickets or more information, contact the SUNY Oswego Office of International Education, 122A Swetman Hall, SUNY Oswego, Oswego, NY 13126 or call 312-2118.
