The best way to learn about SUNY Oswego is to visit. During a visit you can take a student-guided campus tour, speak with admissions and financial aid counselors and most important, you can get a feel for campus life. These year-round visit options, as described below, include group information programs, Admitted Student days, open house events, individual appointments and more. Reservations are necessary for all programs, so register online, or give us a call at 315.312.2250 during business hours.

Group Information Programs
Fall semester programs will begin mid-September and run through early-December. Spring semester programs will begin mid-February and run until early-May.

Check-in for the Admitted Student Days begin 30 minutes in advance.
The Admitted Student Days are designed for high school seniors and transfer students who have applied and been accepted or for those who have applied and have yet to receive a decision. These events are not mandatory for admitted students. They are designed to help students decide if Oswego is the right choice. The Admitted Student Days will include an opportunity to speak with faculty, sit in on presentations from Residence Life and Housing, First Year Programs and Financial Aid. Campus information tables and a student-guided campus tours will also be available.

Check-in for open house programs begin 30 minutes in advance.
Our open house programs held during the academic year include campus tours, special information sessions, interaction with faculty from many of Oswego's over 50 undergraduate programs and the chance to speak with students from various campus clubs and organizations.
Our Summer Open House program offers presentations by admissions counselors and student-guided campus tours (early-bird tours are available), as well as the opportunity to meet with representatives from Career Services, International Education and Experienced-Based Education (Internships). Presentations regarding financial aid, residence life, dining and our first-year academic and advisement programs are also offered.

Individual Appointments
Individual appointments are available Mondays through Fridays between 9:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. You and your family can take a student-guided campus tour and meet with an admissions counselor throughout the academic year while classes are in session and during the summer. These information programs are offered in the spring semester for admitted students and their families. They provide excellent opportunities to tour the Oswego campus, meet with faculty in your area of interest and learn about the many possibilities offered through these academic majors.

Student Host Program
An overnight stay, hosted by a student volunteer, is available Sunday through Thursday nights during much of the academic year (mid-September through mid-November and mid-February through mid-April -- excluding college vacations). Prospective students stay in a residence hall room then attend classes the next day with their host. Please call at least two weeks in advance for a reservation or you can mail or fax this application(PDF. 12Kb) to the Office of Admissions. Upon reservation, a confirmation packet will be sent with additional information.
