53rd Annual Juried Student Exhibition, Free & Open to the Public, February 5th – February 21st

With any Oswego student eligible to enter any media, this annual exhibition is always much-anticipated, eclectic and full of surprises. Regional professional artists serve as jurors. Various awards are given including Presidential Purchase Awards; acquiring those works for the college’s permanent collection.
Generations V & Master of Art Exhibitions, Free & Open to the Public, March 4 – March 18

Master of Art and Master of Art Teaching students join forces to show their best efforts. The MAT students present Generations V, the fifth installment of this exhibit that includes three generations of artists: mentors, student teachers and their young students. MA students show a mastery of their artistic media and an understanding of their unique creative voice.
Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Sam Green presents his multi-media homage to the visionary architect, engineer and philosopher of sustainability, Buckminster Fuller. Accompanied live on stage by legendary indie band, Yo La Tengo, Green weaves video from Fuller’s extraordinary life into an engaging evening of “live cinema”.
The documentary project premiered at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and has played at creative venues and festivals from The Kitchen in New York City to the Barbican in London.

The exhibition season winds up with three installments of BFA student exhibitions. After four years of rigorous training and self-reflection, students prepare a body of work showing their individual voices, artistic growth and understanding of the field. Includes students concentrating study in graphic design as well as studio art.
