Dr. Sanders is a well-known Mississippi Jazz and Blues musician who has been in music education for over 25 years as a teacher, clinician, adjudicator and performer. He is presently the Chair of Fine Arts and Director of the BB King Recording Studio at Mississippi Valley State University and is involved in archiving the music of Delta musicians. He has performed with many great artists, including Bill “Howl-N-Madd” Perry, Mulgrew Miller, Rhonda Richmond, John Birdsong, Willie King, The Four Tops and David “Honey Boy” Edwards, among others.

“Feelin IRIE” is about making you feel good.
Feelin IRIE has beach island music at its core… traditional genres of Caribbean music, jazz & Latin… right from the islands of Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, played on steel drums (also called PAN), the Hawaiian ukelele, and world music instruments from India, Africa, and SE Asia.

From Boston to Baghdad, Tampa to Tokyo, The United States Army Field Band has been thrilling audiences of all ages for more than half a century.
The Jazz Ambassadors–America’s Big Band–is the official touring big band of the United States Army. This ensemble, formed in 1969, has received great acclaim, both at home and abroad, performing America’s original art form–jazz. Their diverse repertoire includes big band swing, bebop, Latin, contemporary jazz, standards, popular tunes, Dixieland, vocals, and patriotic selections — something for everyone.

Juan F. La Manna, Pianist and Ligia Pinheiro, Dancer

Baroque pieces have been used in many different settings since their inception, from grandiose Romantic renditions to contemporary rock versions. This concert explores Baroque music as inspiration for different styles of dance: Modern, Classical, and, of course, Baroque. The concert features Ligia Pinheiro– dancer, historian, and choreographer– dance students, and Juan La Manna, performing and conducting.

Bass-baritone Philip Cokorinos is a frequent performer at the Metropolitan Opera; notable roles include Masetto in Don Giovanni and the English ambassador for the World Premiere of John Corigliano’s highly successful The Ghosts of Versailles. He has received glowing reviews with companies from coast to coast for his portrayal of Leporello in Don Giovanni.
