Syracuse Vocal Ensemble
Classical Meets Bluegrass

Syracuse Vocal Ensemble, one of New York’s finest choral organizations, joins forces with sparkling bluegrass instrumental talents for a genre-blending performance of The World Beloved: A Bluegrass Mass, by contemporary composer Carol Barnett, along with other works drawing on Appalachian folk traditions. Performed with regional bluegrass luminaries Joe Davoli, Perry Cleaveland, Zachary Fleitz, John Cadley, Nick Piccininni and Maureen Henesey and the Syracuse Country/Contra Dancers. (Audience members are invited onto the dance floor after the concert.)
