The Life Skills Program places a great deal of emphasis on service. Students
receive a variety of opportunities to engage in activities that allow them to
contribute and serve others on campus and in the surrounding community.
These beneficial projects include Kids' Day Out/Kids' Night
Out, a day of
service leaf-raking project sponsored by the Student-Athlete Advisory
Council, team community service programs and other initiatives to meet
current needs.
For more information, contact contact SAAC adviser Diane Dillon at ddillon@oswego.edu, or Ryoko Sekiguchi,
academic/life skills coordinator, at sekiguch@oswego.edu.

Tree of dreams: Student-Athlete Mentors decorate one of the trees for
the SUNY Oswego Holiday Toy Drive, where members of the campus community
purchase presents for hundreds of local children.
Cleaning up: Every year, the Student-Athlete Advisory Council
rallies student-athletes to rake leaves for senior citizens as part of the
SUNYwide day of service.

Passion fashion: Members of the Laker women's ice hockey team helped
with fundraising and awareness activities supporting the Susan G. Komen Breast
Cancer Foundation during Passionately Pink for the Cure Day.
