Honors and awards recognizing student-athletes' academic excellence
Oswego State student-athletes receive numerous academic honors and awards. Many of our Laker athletes are named to the SUNYAC Commissioner's List and All-Academic Teams. In addition, Oswego State recognizes all of its student-athletes that have attained a 3.0 or greater grade-point average each semester. For the 2008-2009 academic year, 171 student-athletes were recognized with the Award for Academic Excellence.
Special individual awards-- including the Donald Snygg Award and Oswego Woman Scholar Athlete Award -- are also presented annually.

Both are honored student-athletes who have completed at least two years in a varsity athletic program and maintained a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.30 along with demonstrating athletic success. The awards were presented by Oswego State Athletic Director Timothy G. Hale at the Honors Convocation held on April 25, 2008.
