Oswego State-Plattsburgh Men's Hockey Game To Be Broadcast Over Internet
The men's hockey game between Oswego State and Plattsburgh on Saturday at Plattsburgh will be televised via live videostream on the Internet through a partnership with student-operated Plattsburgh State Television and PrimeLink. The game starts at 7 p.m. in the Stafford Ice Arena.

Offense Keeps Rolling In Men's Hockey's 8-1 Win Over Potsdam
The offense continues to put up numbers as the Oswego State men's hockey team defeated Potsdam 8-1 on Friday night on the road. Justin Fox (Jr., Whitby, Ont.) and Eric Selleck (So., Spencerville, Ont.) each registered four points as Fox recorded two goals and two assists, while Selleck posted one goal and three assists. Fox and Selleck's linemate Chris Laganiere (Jr., Owego, N.Y.) also contributed two assists. The Lakers improved to 4-1-0 overall and 3-0-0 in the SUNYAC, whereas Potsdam dropped to 1-2-0 overall.

Senior Felipe Cavalcanti (Valatie, N.Y.) was selected to the second team, while senior Chris Carra (Endwell, N.Y.) and sophomore Bryan Pacchiana (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.) were named to the third team.

Women's Hockey Defeats Castleton State 6-1 To Open Season

CelebrationThe Oswego State women’s hockey team started the 2009-10 season with an offensive outburst as it defeated non-conference Castleton State 6-1 on Sunday afternoon at the Campus Center Arena in Oswego. Jenna Kirkwood and Bryanna Forrest recorded two goals each as the Lakers have yet to be defeated by the Spartans in their three previous meetings. Oswego State starts the season at 1-0-0, while Castleton State falls to 0-2-0.

Third Period Burst Gives Men’s Hockey 7-4 Win Over Fredonia
The Oswego State men’s hockey team trailed 3-2 heading into the final period, but exploded for five goals as it defeated Fredonia 7-4 on Saturday night in Fredonia. The line of Chris Laganiere (Jr., Owego, N.Y.), Eric Selleck (So., Spencerville, Ont.), and Justin Fox (Jr., Whitby, Ont.) had another solid night as the three players combined for 13 points on four goals and nine assists. The Lakers improved to 3-1-0 overall and 2-0-0 in the conference, while the Blue Devils fell to 2-2-0 overall and 0-2-0 in SUNYAC play.

Men Finish Seventh, Women Finish Eighth At SUNYAC Cross Country Championships

Rachel SanbornThe Oswego State men's cross country squad finished in seventh place out of ten teams with 188 points at the SUNYAC Cross Country Championships hosted by Cortland on Saturday. The Laker women placed eighth with 224 points on a course that was slowed by muddy conditions due to rain. Geneseo captured both the men's and women's team titles with 29 and 34 points, respectively.
