Cross Country Finishes Season At NCAA Atlantic Regionals The Oswego State cross country teams wrapped up the 2009 season at the NCAA Atlantic Regional Championships hosted by Geneseo on Saturday. The Laker men recorded 492 points to finish 18th out of 38 teams, while the Laker women tallied 766 points for a 27th-place finish out of 33 teams. Freshman Rachel Sanborn (Liberty, N.Y.) clocked a time of 24:00 to finish 69th overall in the 6K race. Her time was also the fourth fastest time by a Laker female since 1999.
Cortland won the men’s team title with 49 points followed by Geneseo at 64 points. On the women’s side, St. Lawrence claimed first-place honors with 43 points, and Geneseo in second place at 74 points. Individual winners included Peter Kosgei of Hamilton with a time of 24:41 and Wendy Pavlus of St. Lawrence with a time of 21:22.

Men Finish Seventh, Women Finish Eighth At SUNYAC Cross Country Championships The Oswego State men's cross country squad finished in seventh place out of ten teams with 188 points at the SUNYAC Cross Country Championships hosted by Cortland on Saturday. The Laker women placed eighth with 224 points on a course that was slowed by muddy conditions due to rain. Geneseo captured both the men's and women's team titles with 29 and 34 points, respectively.
Junior Mike Bott (Camillus, N.Y.) was the top Oswego State male finisher in the 8K race as he crossed the finish line in 27:22, which was good for 31st place individually. Freshman Jeff Rozler (Bemus Point, N.Y.) and junior Samson Dikeman (Altamont, N.Y.) finished 39th and 43rd, respectively, as Rozler posted a time of 27:35 and Dikeman ran a time of 27:49.

Men's Cross Country Finishes Sixth At University of Rochester Invitational
The Oswego State men’s cross country team finished sixth out of 15 teams with 195 points at the 8K University of Rochester Invitational on Saturday. Geneseo took first place honors with 39 points followed by the University of Rochester at 56 points.
Mike Bott (Jr., Camilius, N.Y.) returned to the front of the Laker pack as he clocked a time of 26:25 for 31st place out of 178 runners. Jeff Rozler (Fr., Bemus Point, N.Y.) was second on the squad at 45th place with a time of 26:42.

Cross Country Men Place Sixth and Women Finish Ninth The Oswego State cross country squads competed at the Hamilton Invitational in Clinton, N.Y. on Saturday where the Laker men finished sixth out of 13 teams and the women placed ninth out of 11 squads.
Oswego State will compete at the University of Rochester Invitational on Saturday, October 17.

Cross Country Men Finish Seventh, Women Place 13th At Geneseo Invite
The Oswego State men's cross country team posted a solid seventh place showing out of 24 teams, while the women's squad finished 13th out of 23 teams at the Geneseo Invitational on Saturday.
Geneseo took first place in both the men’s and women’s race, as the men finished ahead of RIT and the women were ahead of Brockport.
