2007 NCAA Division III Men's Ice Hockey National Champions

Garren Reisweber's goal 12:55 into overtime gave Oswego State a 4-3 win over Middlebury in the NCAA Division III Men's Ice Hockey championship game on March 18, 2007. The Lakers captured the school's first ever national championship in a team sport.

Oswego State men’s ice hockey coach Ed Gosek will be honored by USA Hockey as the recipient of the Walter Yaciuk Award. The award is presented annually by USA Hockey’s Coaching Education Program to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the program during many years of service as a volunteer.

The NCAA Division III Men’s Ice Hockey Committee announced the 11-team field for the 2009 Division III Men’s Hockey Championships on Monday morning, and for the second straight season Oswego State was left out of the field after failing to earn one of five available at-large berths.

Plattsburgh scored the game-winning goal 4:20 into the first overtime period to claim their second straight State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC), Hockey Championship at the Ronald B. Stafford Ice Arena in Plattsburgh. Freshman Vick Schlueter scored the winner on the left post of Laker goalie Tim Potter, assisted by linemate Kyle VanderMallie.

PLATTSBURGH - The Plattsburgh State Athletic Department Thursday announced that Saturday’s State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) men’s hockey championship game between Oswego State and the host Cardinals is sold out.  The title game is set for 7 p.m. Saturday at the Stafford Ice Arena.

Tickets for the championship game of the 2009 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Hockey Championship between second-ranked Oswego State and top ranked and host Plattsburgh State will go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, March 3 and Wednesday, March 4 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. each day at the Plattsburgh Field House Box Office.  The game is scheduled for Saturday, March 7 at 7:00 p.m. at the Ronald B.
