Lakers conclude 2008 campaign; Mike Brewster named First Team All-SUNYAC

Junior midfielder Mike Brewster was named to the All-SUNYAC First Team, as voted on by SUNY Athletic Conference coaches for the 2008 season. Brewster led the Lakers in points (43) and assists (20) and shared the team's scoring lead with 23 goals. In conference play, Brewster recorded 16 goals in seven SUNYAC games to rank tied for ninth in that category, and he was tied for sixth in the conference with 11 assists.

Brewster was also the Laker leader with 53 ground balls during the season, and served as one of three tri-captains for Oswego State last season.

Former coach, AD inducted to Hall of Fame

The Oswego State men’s lacrosse team lost 15-8 to visiting Keuka on Sunday afternoon at Laker Field in Oswego.

The Oswego State men’s lacrosse team defeated Morrisville 20-5 on Saturday afternoon at Laker Field in Oswego. Laker senior attackman Mike Strohm had five goals and one assist in the game, and now has 100 points in his Oswego State career. Strohm reached that milestone with his fifth goal of the game, which came with 5:19 left in the game.

The Oswego State men’s lacrosse team lost 10-7 to Potsdam on Wednesday afternoon at Laker Field in Oswego.

Freshman Andy Hilton and sophomore Matt Harvey each scored four goals in leading Oneonta to a convincing 19-9 win against visiting Oswego State in SUNYAC men’s lacrosse action.

The Oswego State men’s lacrosse team lost 21-9 at Geneseo on Wednesday afternoon. The host Blue Knights are currently ranked 11th in the nation.
