Erin
Skaradek, a 2008 graduate of Elmira College, starts her first season
as the head coach of the Oswego State men's tennis team. Skaradek is also in her second season as the head women's tennis coach and an assistant coach
for the Lakers' women's basketball team in 2009-10.
Skaradek, a native of New Hartford, NY, played a vital role in the
development of the Elmira women's basketball program, serving three
seasons as an assistant coach to the Soaring Eagles' junior varsity
team. During her tenure, Elmira claimed the Empire 8 Conference
regular season title during the 2006-07 season, posted back-to-back
runner-up finishes (2006, 2007) in the Conference post-season
championship tournament, and earned repeat Eastern College Athletic
Conference (ECAC) Upstate Championship berths (runner-up in 2006,
quarterfinalist in 2007).
During the 2005-06 season, Elmira was one of the ten most improved
teams in NCAA Division III, finishing with a 19-11 record after
finishing 8-17 the year before.
Skaradek, who also served as a sports information student assistant
and manager of the Soaring Eagles' women's varsity lacrosse team,
graduated with dual bachelor's degrees in Childhood Education and
Anthropology & Sociology. She also has a New York State teachers
certification for childhood education (kindergarten to fifth grade).
