SUNY Oswego is using the Panopto lecture capture solution. 

If you are a current faculty member using the Panopto system, you can login to our hosted Panopto site to manage your recordings. Please be sure to select the ANGEL login option and use your Laker NetID credentials to access the account. Once logged in, you can see your recordings, edit them, and check out viewing statistics.

Lecture Capture is used for recording live presentations.  Audio and/or video can be recorded.  Some examples of using this service include:

  • recording a class lecture in which students can view the recording later on to clarify points and further their understanding on a particular topic. Or, use it from your desktop to record supplemental class material.
  • recording a guest speaker (with their permission of course) so it can be reviewed later by attendees and perhaps others who were unable to attend.
  • recording presenter-led workshops. 
  • using it right from your desktop for recording demonstrations on how to use software, additional lectures for a class, role playing, etc.

Not all classrooms on campus are equiped with audio and/or video equipment necessary to run the lecture capture software. Make sure to take a look at the list and see if you can hold your class in these rooms if you wish to have the ability to record your classes.
