Oswego class successfully summits Mount Kilimanjaro

A 23-member team from SUNY Oswego successfully reached the top of Mount Kilimanjaro in mid-January as part of a class that literally brought learning to new heights.

Chemistry majors spent a day at Bausch & Lomb in Rochester to learn what it means to be an industrial chemist. Between late night s’more sessions on the lake, pizza-fueled information meetings between professionals and students, and trips to maximum-security prisons, Gary Morris ’88 effectively helps students realize that the time is now to start keeping an eye keenly on their future.
