The SUNY Oswego Alumni Association honored a public relations major from Buffalo with the 2015 Outstanding Senior Award at the Commencement Eve Dinner on Friday, May 16.

The SUNY Oswego President’s Award for Excellence in Academic Advisement for 2015 will honor biological sciences staff member Lisa Brancato, Mary Rodgers of the finance faculty in the School of Business and Karen Wolford, professor of psychology.

SUNY Oswego’s online MBA program ranks in the top 25 nationally in Princeton Review’s first-ever comprehensive survey of colleges and universities offering such programs.

Dr. Fehmi Damkaci, a SUNY Oswego chemistry faculty member long active with his students in lab research, journal publications, conference presentations and career guidance, will receive the 2015 Provost’s Award for Mentoring in Scholarly and Creative Activity.

SUNY Oswego adjunct instructors Carlo Cuccaro in counseling and psychological services and Christine Motto of English and creative writing are 2015 recipients of the Provost’s Award for Teaching Excellence by Part-Time Faculty.

SUNY Oswego staff members Andrew Michaelis, systems administrator and Oracle database administrator, and Gary Morris, director of career services, are recipients of the 2015 Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Professional Service.

John Ferlito, a 38-year SUNY Oswego employee and, since 1998, the campus electrical supervisor, will receive the 2015 SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Classified Service.

A SUNY Oswego student-led recycling effort and social media campaign recently won one of eight honors nationally in a first-ever competition sponsored by the sustainability organization RecycleMania.
