Math Placement Exam

The Math Placement exam is a calculus placement exam.  If you have paid your admission deposit, you will now have access to the Math Placement Exam.  Please login to Oswego's Angel program using your email user name and password.  The exam is listed under "courses," click on the exam and follow the math placement instructions from there. -->ANGEL

If you are experiencing difficulty logging into ANGEL please wait 48 hours before calling the Orientation Office.  Some information is still in the process of being uploaded to the site.

All majors (except for non-math concentrate Childhood Education majors, see below) must complete an on-line math placement exam FOUR DAYS PRIOR to your assigned orientation program in order to be placed into the correct math course at the program. Failure to complete the exam may result in the inability to register for a math course at the program.  

Math Proficiency Exam

The Math Proficiency Exam is for non-math concentrate Childhood Education majors only. The exam measures basic algebraic and trigonometric skills.  All Childhood Education majors will need to take a math proficiency exam during your assigned Orientation program.  Childhood Ed (Math Concentrate majors must take the Math Placement Exam using ANGEL prior to their assigned Orientation program in addition to taking the Math Proficiency Exam the day of their assigned Orientation program.

All Childhood Education majors will need to arrive early by 8:00am for their Orientation program to take a math proficiency exam. Click here to access the Proficiency Exam Practice Review.
