Membership Categories and Fees

Cooper and Glimmerglass Fitness Centers are part of and supported by the Residence Life and Housing Department of the State University of New York at Oswego. Financial subsidy by the Department of Residence Life and Housing means that students living in residence are essentially supporting the centers in two ways: through room rental fees and fitness membership fees. Therefore, to provide for reasonably equitable fees to all members, non-residents are charged a higher fee than residents. This recognizes the amount of time and support an individual has given to the Residence Life and Housing Department as a resident student. The longer any individual stays on campus as a resident, the lower his or her membership fee will be to join the Fitness Centers.

Membership Cards
The SUNY Oswego I.D. issued to students, staff and faculty is used as the fitness center membership card. Members must present their I.D. card at the front desk upon entering the centers. At the front desk there is a place to leave your I.D. and keys while working out. The centers are not responsible for any lost or stolen I.D.'s or keys left at the desk.

Membership Revocations
All SUNY Oswego and Residence Life and Housing policies and procedures apply to the fitness centers. The fitness center staff is responsible for enforcement of college policies and fitness center guidelines. Courtesy for other members, staff and the equipment in the centers is expected and required. Loud, boisterous or abusive behavior will not be tolerated. Failure to comply with college policies and fitness center guidelines may result in immediate eviction from the centers, revocation of membership with no refund, and disciplinary review through the campus judicial system.
