Residence Halls
Johnson Hall Entrance Sheldon Residence Hall (east wing) for Juniors and Seniors Riggs Hall in winter

SUNY Oswego is a residential campus, housing approximately 4,100 undergraduates. Our beautiful 700-acre campus is home to 13 residence halls that offer a variety of living options. All of the halls are coed, housing both men and women. Some are coed by wing, others by section. The halls are situated in residential areas, similar to neighborhoods. These are:

West Campus
Central Campus
Lakeside
East Campus
Oneida Hart Johnson Lonis (north Mackin Complex)
Onondaga Funnelle Riggs Moreland (south Mackin Complex)
Cayuga   Scales Sheldon (east wing)
Seneca   Waterbury

Regardless of which hall you live in, you can be assured you'll find a lot of interesting and fun things to do as well as the potential for a great "home-away-from-home" atmosphere.  Each residence hall room is typically designed for two students and furnished with a bed, mattress, dresser, desk, chair, floor lamp and closet for each resident.

Larger rooms in Cayuga, Oneida and Seneca Halls that were formerly student lounges have been converted into student bedrooms.

  • In Cayuga Hall, two students are typically assigned to a lounge.
  • Oneida and Seneca Halls, three students are generally assigned.
  • Coordinating the furnishings and arrangements of your room is a good opportunity to become better acquainted with your new roommate(s).

You can learn more about each of the halls by clicking on the name of the hall above.
