Jennifer Shropshire, a 1986 alumna of SUNY Oswego, addresses SUNY Oswego’s Honors Convocation on April 15, where more than 100 students were recognized for their academic achievements and leadership.
“Walk about the world with open hearts and open minds. Listen. Honor the value of every person you encounter,” she advised the students. “When you graduate, you must wave your degree with pride. Encourage your fellow classmates to be engaged. I’m pleading with you to do this, because I know that if you do so, you will continue to reap the benefits of your Oswego degree for the rest of your lives.”
Shropshire is a principal at Edward F. Swenson & Associates, a management and fundraising consulting firm in Philadelphia that works with nonprofit organizations, and a member of the Oswego Alumni Association board of directors, among her many associations.
