New graduate Sahar Rajput (center) of SUNY Oswego was recently recognized on campus for her Newman Civic Fellowship, one of only 273 such honors the Campus Compact awarded in 39 states and Washington, D.C. Also pictured are Christy Huynh (left) of the Office of Career Services, a mentor to Rajput; and Kristi Eck, chief of staff to college President Deborah F. Stanley. In a nomination, Stanley noted that the communication and social interaction major from Scotia "has worked tirelessly to develop programs that promote community engagement and provide meaningful opportunities for her peers." Also the student president of Community Services, Rajput was one of nearly 1,700 Oswego students eligible to take part in SUNY Oswego's May 13 graduation ceremonies.
