Nature programming this spring at Rice Creek Field Station invites visitors with Rice Creek Rambles and a Story Hour for children, while setting the stage for children's summer learning and fun with applications for the Exploring Nature programs.
Naturalist-led, family-friendly Rice Creek Rambles will take place at 11 a.m. on the following Saturdays: April 1, 8 and 22, as well as May 13 and 20. Those planning to attend are asked to call 315-312-6677 on the morning of the hike to check trail conditions and dress for the weather. Since program size is limited, the hikes are not able to accommodate groups. An adult needs to accompany children.
Rice Creek Story Hour returns at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 29, designed for elementary-age children, though all are welcome. An adult must accompany children. Join Rice Creek staff for tales of nature, animals' wild ways and how humans relate to the world around them. Since program size is limited, Story Hour is not able to accommodate groups.
Rice Creek is accepting applications for its Exploring Nature summer programs for children. For information and forms visit www.oswego.edu/exploringnature. Registration deadline is June 5.
