Rice Creek teams with Girl Scouts to offer leadership training

OSWEGO -- SUNY Oswego's Rice Creek Field Station, in partnership with the Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways, is offering a free adult leader training session from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 6, at Rice Creek. Registration deadline is April 20.
Rice Creek Field Station will offer a full and interactive morning dedicated to expanding participants' knowledge of the outdoors. Those attending will learn about different types of trees and understory plants local to the Oswego area and key ways to identify them through indoor instruction and hands-on identification on Rice Creek's many trails.
Each training participant will receive a packet of informational handouts designed as an ongoing resource for Girl Scout troops.
