There were concerns and questions for the DLE team specifically about the rubrics - Theresa will look into it.
-
Theresa - We will be having some workshops on the rubrics during Spring Breakouts.
-
Sean reported that BrightSpace is now in operations mode and there was talk about the Phishing expedition.
-
Report on the print project upcoming there will be an update from Dan Laird on the SET project.
7. CTS Report
-
Badger API will be turned off today.
-
Google Space - Will defer until next CTAB meeting.
-
Print Project (Nicole)
-
Not a lot to report since last CTAB meeting. Working with departments still. We are now meeting with Toshiba and they will be visiting campus and come up with a design which will have to be approved by the Print leadership team. When that happens we will be communicating with the departments in the buildings. We have already inventoried some of the buildings ourselves.
-
SET update (Dan Laird)
-
Dave S. - At what point do present surveys turn into past surveys? Assume if you have a Winter survey, it would move your Fall surveys to the past.
-
Dave B. - The response rates seem low - any feedback on how well the nag emails to students might have led to a better response? We send reminders, maybe adjust frequency? Sean - Faculty members have a lot of influence. It does help when the faculty member pushes for the feedback. Dan - Having a link in BrightSpace to AEFIS would help.
-
Kathi - In enterprise surveys, we send notifications every three days. May be able to figure out how to put a widget in BrightSpace. Still working with AEFIS on another integration.
-
Theresa - Dan has resources available to encourage faculty to encourage the students. Faculty can ask for feedback and let their students know how they are using the feedback. It is the faculty being involved to encourage their students.
-
Dave B. - When evaluations are moved online there is always a very low response rate.
-
Kathi - C&I was able to get their response rate very high. They had students bring their devices to the classroom. The response rate was close to 90%.
-
Ritu - We do a lot of email. I personally give class time to do it.
-
Hybrid policy, the state of hyflex and campus classrooms - Tyrone is not available, therefore, we will defer this to the nex CTAB meeting.
