History

Function
Park Hall was originally the Industrial Arts Building and was the second building built on campus, due to an increase of academic enrollment and advancement. Park Hall was originally a stand alone academic building, but it has been attached to Wilber Hall since construction finished on Wilber in the early 1960s. Today it is the headquarters for the School of Education, as well as select technology and health and wellness facilities.

Namesake
Park was named in honor of Joseph C. Park and the building opened in 1933. Park served as the director of Manual Training from 1902 to 1908 and the director of Industrial Arts from 1908 to 1940, which he helped establish.
