AGENDA:

  1. Welcome and Call to Order: College Council Chair, James McMahon called the

    meeting to order via Zoom Video Conference at 5:47 PM

  2. Approval of Minutes of Previous Meeting: James McMahon asked for a motion to approve the minutes from the January 9, 2023 College Council meeting. Darlene Baker made a motion to approve; Brian McGrath seconded. All were in favor. The minutes of the January 9, 2023 meeting were approved by the Council.

  3. Open Meetings Law Changes Following EO 11 – James McMahon asked for a motion to adopt remote meeting policy consistent with the new law. Brian McGrath made a motion to approve; Darlene Baker seconded. All were in favor. The remote meeting policy was approved by the Council.

  4. Task Force on Haudenosaunee Confederacy Naming on the Oswego Campus – No College Council members volunteered to serve on the Task Force at this time. All

College Council members want to better understand the time commitment required to serve on the task force. Kristi Eck was asked by the Council to gather more information on the time commitment from Elizabeth Schmitt, Faculty Assembly Chair, and to report back to the Council with more information. If Tom Erhard’s schedule allows, Tom expressed a possible willingness to serve on the Task Force on behalf of the College Council if Tom is still on the College Council (as Student Association President) when the task force meetings take place.

  1. Old Business: No old business discussed.

  2. New Business – Presidential Search (Executive Session held): James McMahon asked for a motion to go into executive session to discuss the presidential search candidates. Darlene Baker made a motion to approve; Brian McGrath seconded. Executive session entered at 6:03 PM and ended at 7:42 PM.

Chair James McMahon made a motion to adjourn; Brian McGrath seconded. All were in favor and the meeting was adjourned at 7:44 PM.
