SUNY Oswego students help with Micron Chip Camp at OCC

Three SUNY Oswego CSTEP (Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program) students were among those helping with a recent Micron-sponsored Chip Camp hosted at Onondaga Community College (OCC) for more than 100 students from Onondaga and Oswego counties.

Graduate students earn national spotlight for helping kids through school psychology

It was SUNY Oswego graduate student Jared Cucinotta’s own experience with a school psychologist in middle school that inspired him to pursue a career where he can help kids who are struggling like he did. For fellow Oswego student Marcus Lombardo, he knew he enjoyed working with kids, and wanted a career that would allow him to work with kids while using data to improve student outcomes. A new program is helping them both help others.

The Office of Dean of Students received an Outstanding Student Affairs Program award for Open Mic Night, while Residence Life and Housing staff members Renee Landers-Jennings and Carson Nedell earned individual honors.

Scientists, including SUNY Oswego researcher, use exotic stars to tune into hum of cosmic symphony

Astrophysicists using large radio telescopes to observe a collection of cosmic clocks in the Milky Way Galaxy –- including SUNY Oswego faculty member and planetarium director Natalie Lewandowska –- have found evidence for gravitational waves that oscillate with periods of years to decades, according to a set of papers published June 28 in The Astrophysical Journal Letters.
