Campus Recreation is back with a variety of exciting events this semester, starting this week with goat yoga.

One-day events include:

Goat Yoga
Wednesday, Jan. 24, Swetman Gym

Lakers will have the opportunity to partake in an instructor-guided yoga session, all while enjoying the company of lively goats and their handlers. 
Four half-hour sessions will be offered, to up to 50 students. These classes are beginner friendly. 

  • Class #1 (7-7:30 p.m.)
  • Class #2 (7:45-8:15 p.m.) 
  • Class #3 (8:30-9 p.m.)
  • Class #4 (9:15-9:45 p.m.)

Grocery Bingo
Wednesday, Feb. 7, 7 p.m., Marano Campus Center food and activity court

The concept is simple: Get bingo and win groceries.

Refreshments provided by Auxiliary Services. Cosponsored by The Office of the Dean of Students.

Make and Take Series
Friday, Jan. 26, 1 to 3 p.m., 201 Marano Campus Center

Participants can paint tote bags, canvases and window clings.

Ski and Snowboard Trip

  • Registration deadline: Friday, Jan. 26; spots are limited
  • Trip date: Saturday, Feb. 3, departing 1 p.m.

  • Location: Bristol Mountain Ski Resort, Canandaigua, N.Y.
  • Fee: $35 for lift ticket plus ski/snowboard/helmet rental or $20 for the lift ticket only
  • Transportation included from the Marano Campus Center bus circle
  • Lessons, if needed, are included

Cosponsored by Campus Recreation and the Ski and Snowboard Club.

*To reserve your ticket/spot, you will need to purchase your ticket through the box office in person or via the online ticket system.

Fresh Air, Fresh Start at Rice Creek
Friday, Feb. 2, 1 to 4 p.m.

Participants can enjoy outdoor winter activities, snowshoeing, guided meditation, snow sports and more.

Cosponsored by Counseling Services, Rice Creek Field Station and Campus Recreation.

Intro to Fitness Challenge 
Begins Jan. 24 through Feb. 7

If you’ve always wanted to use the campus Fitness Centers but don't know where to start, you can take part in this promotion. Sign up at the front desk of Cooper Fitness Center or Glimmerglass Fitness Center.

Small group training

Join small group training sessions which will run the first six weeks of the semester, limited to the first four people who sign up due to limited space.

Free personal training

The Fitness Centers provide free personal training for students. Personal trainers are available to design and demonstrate a safe and effective exercise program to help you reach your goals. Use this form to sign up.
