Standard Response Protocol - Higher Education (SRP-HED) online training

The Campus Safety Advisory Committee invites all students, faculty and staff to complete the Standard Response Protocol - Higher Education online training in Brightspace. Last year SUNY Oswego formally adopted the “I Love U Guys” Foundation’s SRP-HED as the designated emergency preparedness program. This training will provide the university community with the necessary tools to stay safe in the event of a campus emergency.

To access the training, please visit the Brightspace website and under “My Courses” click on “All Courses” and then click on “SUNY Oswego Emergency Preparedness Training 2023-2024.” It is important to stay current on this information and the university encourages everyone to complete the training each year.

In-person training available

If your department or organization would like to participate in an in-person training, please email University Police Chief Scott Swayze at scott.swayze@oswego.edu to schedule an in-person training.

Drop-in Hour with Campus Safety Advisory Committee

All students, faculty, and staff are invited to a drop-in hour with the Campus Safety Advisory Committee members on Monday, Nov. 13, from 1 to 2 p.m. in 133 Marano Campus Center. You are welcome to come and share your ideas and/or concerns regarding safety on campus.

For more information or questions please contact Christy Huynh, assistant vice president for student affairs and dean of students, and a co-chair of the Campus Safety Advisory Committee, at christy.huynh@oswego.edu.
