With spring moving forward, the Division of Extended Learning wants to get the campus thinking about summer, summer playlists and Summer Sessions.

Extended Learning is compiling a weekly themed Sounds of Summer Playlist, starting this and every Monday morning for the next five weeks. Each theme is associated with summer sessions courses.

Announcements will appear on the college’s @sunyoswego Instagram account and Oswego Today. Your feedback on what song is a must-have on your playlist will provide the Spotify curated playlist that will be created at the end of the five weeks.

Each week, one staff person and one student that provides a song recommendation will win a SUNY Oswego T-shirt and baseball hat from the College Stores.

Week 1, starting March 22, will feature mental health counseling courses. The SUNY Oswego master’s degree in mental health counseling prepares students for rewarding careers in this in-demand field.  Several courses are available during Summer Sessions 2021 to help fulfill requirements for this master’s degree.

The theme also notes that relaxing music can help you “chill out” and promote good mental health.

So this week’s question is: What song must be on your summer Chill Out playlist?
